Unlike other electric bikes with low capacity 36V batteries, we splurged on our battery packs because we know that this is the single most important component of any electric bike. The 48V 14Ah battery packs a punch and has the capacity and range to be there for you when you need it most at the end of a long ride. At only 7.7 lbs, this is one of the lightest and most energy dense battery packs ever supplied on an electric bike. Combine that with the external battery meter and easy removal for charging and transport, you have a feature rich battery pack you can depend on.

We applied our experience with years of taking ebike motors to their limits in high-performance applications and have outfitted the RadCity Step-Thru with a powerful brushless direct drive hub motor specifically designed for use with our 15 amp continuous motor controller and 48V battery pack.

Regenerative Braking

Using a brushless direct drive hub motor allows the RadWagon to have regenerative braking enabled as a standard feature. This allows the user to slow down when traveling downhill or coming to a stop and charging the battery in the process. Regenerative braking is automatically activated anytime you engage the brake levers, meaning you can take advantage of this amazing feature without having to do anything extra.
