The Rad Battery Pack

With over a decade of designing and building ebikes under our belts, we know that a high-capacity battery like this isn’t something you cheap out on. We designed and built our batteries using genuine Samsung 35E cells, which are some of the most energy-dense and reliable lithium-ion cells on the market today. These cells have allowed us to build an overall better battery, and at only 7.7 lb, it's one of the lightest and most energy-dense packs on any electric bike.

Reliable, Smooth, Maintenance-Free Hub Motor

Using a brushless direct drive hub motor allows regenerative braking to be enabled as a standard feature. This allows the user to slow down when traveling downhill or coming to a stop while charging the battery in the process. Regenerative braking is automatically activated anytime you engage the brake levers, meaning you can take advantage of this amazing feature without having to do anything extra.

Love Rad City

The throttle, the power regenerating brakes, the sturdiness of the bike: I love them all. It’s a bit of a beast of a bike, but I feel safe and love my rides, especially that it’s pretty much carbon free

Wonderful Bike

I had a few minor problems which I was able to resolve. I love the bike. I am 71 years old, and again enjoying riding a bike.

135 Miles and Counting on my RadCity

I've been using this bike as my only transportation for a month and I've been loving it! Everyone at work has been asking me about it, and they notice how well made the RadCity is. "The wheels look strong and the frame looks thick and nicely welded." "What company is that? That looks well made and I see you always on that." "Is that electric? I see you cruising on that when we leave. Looks like it can hold a couple hundred pounds too." And that's only a handful of comments out of the many. My only problem with the bike is how much people want to talk about it (I hate small talk) But I'll gladly talk about my bike!

Rad commuter bike a joy

Love my new e bike. Only thing is it's a little clunky and heavy, but otherwise riding is a blast!

For delivery for small business. It take us 15 minutes
to ride 3 miles in city with more then 10 traffic lights
to pass.

It's fun to ride but terrifying

I've ridden it about 30 miles and it's extremely fun and gets me to the places I need to go. HOWEVER, when it arrived at my house and I was assembling it, the back brakes were tightened so hard that the back wheel wouldn't move and the front brakes were tightened quite hard too. I was forced to spend about a hour loosening the brakes but was dumbfounded to find that the back brakes were still fairly tight even when loosened to the point of the brake cap almost touching the spokes. At this point, the brake pads are no longer insanely tight but they do actually come loose while riding and I sometimes fear riding the bike.

It's Awesome!!!

Love my new ride. It's perfect for an old guy to get some exercise. Did a 23 mile lunch ride. Used about 1/2 of the battery. Perfect amount of exercise for a 70 year old.

I'm really glad I bought the RadCity

I'm 62 years old, weigh 240 pounds, and I’m out of shape, but this bike is comfortable and has plenty of power for me. I mostly ride in PAS 1 and 2. The RadCity can climb some steep hills in PAS5. I'm getting way more than 25 miles on a charge and I’m getting good exercise. The bike appears to be well made and well thought out, and it operates smoothly. I'm really happy with it and it makes me feel like a kid again. I added the Rad front rack, and the small basket for the front, and use the bike to make grocery runs. I had a few issues when I received the bike: 1) a frayed rear brake cable; 2) the box was a little damaged which bent the derailleur guard into the derailleur. However Rad's customer service quickly resolved the issues supplying the replacement parts and offering to reimburse me for a bike shop to fix it. I fixed it myself, however. I also had to make some adjustments to the derailleur. But all things considered, not a bad experience. I'm happy I bought the bike and I think it was a very good value.
