Kicking Off Black History Month

The first day of February means the start of Black History Month!

We can’t wait to celebrate the amazing contributions that Black Americans have made to the bike industry. Inventors, innovators, and bike enthusiasts alike, past, present, and future, their work and efforts have definitely paved the way for us here at Rad and continue to inspire our vision of progress and innovation.

Throughout the next 28 days, we will be highlighting and uplifting Black voices and stories from the cycling community. We acknowledge that representation matters, and the bike industry as a whole has fallen short in practicing intentional diversity and inclusion of the Black experience in its brand and voice. There’s an opportunity for Rad Power Bikes to make an impact by honoring the Black rider’s experience in the ebike community that we represent, and we can’t wait to do our part in this good work. Moving forward, we intend to promote the Black rider’s experience not just in February but in every month for years to come.

Responsibility, accountability, and diversity are part of our core values, and we want to stand behind them. We look forward to making good on this promise. We stand with and for the Black Community and believe that Black Lives Matter.
