Search for a location near you here. If you’re not near one of our official locations, you can still enjoy some time in the saddle by visiting one of our local bike shop test ride partners or one of the hundreds of rental companies that carry Rad Power Bikes.
If we’re outside your immediate area, sign-up for our email list so we can let you know when we’ll be nearby. We’re constantly adding new retail stores, pop-up shops, and temporary test ride events.
Test rides are available at RadRetail stores and many local bike shops. They generally take place in the surrounding roads and bike trails near our locations. We can provide a suggested route if you’re interested.
You must be 16+ years of age, unless you live in a location where it is legally designated as 18. Under 18 requires a parent/guardian.
When you’re ready to take a test ride, we will ask you for a government ID. This will be safely held onto for the duration of your test ride. We’ll ask you to sign a waiver, then give you a rundown on safety, best practices, and the basics of the bike – including how to operate it.
We require all riders to wear a helmet when on the ebike. We have helmets available in various sizes available on-site. If you’d like to bring your own helmet, you are more than welcome to.
One of the great things about electric bikes is that you don’t need any special clothing to ride one. It’s an easy, no-spandex experience.
Dress comfortably. Please avoid wearing long, flowing clothing or accessories that can get caught in the mechanics of the bike. We also ask that you wear close-toed shoes for your safety.
If you need us to hold onto a backpack, laptop case, purse or other item, please check with a member of our team. Please note that Rad Power Bikes or local bike shops are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
We find that riding the ebike in a real-world setting can give you the best sense of what it’s like to own one. Try to think of how you would ride this ebike if you were in your everyday environment. Experiment with the different levels of pedal assist. Shift gears if you’re not on a single-speed. Explore how the braking feels. Try the throttle once you’re comfortable on the bike. If you live in a hilly area, keep an eye out for a hill you can climb.
For your safety, please be sure to follow local traffic and bike laws.
Test rides are generally available on a walk-in basis. On busy days, the wait time is usually no longer than 15-20 minutes.
We ask that you limit each test ride session to 15 minutes. If you’d like to go for a little longer, return to the test ride location and speak with a member of our team. We’re dedicated to making sure you find the best ebike for you, so don’t hesitate to ask to try another model.
Our in-stock ebikes are usually available for sale on-site at RadRetail stores. You will have an option to purchase it in a box for home-assembly or pay a small fee for one that’s assembled on-site. You can also order an ebike online.
If you’re test riding at a local bike shop or through a rental program, you can order an ebike online. We’ll ship it within two business days or less. Some partners may be willing to help you through the ebike purchase process and some may also participate in our Assembly Service Program.
