What to Measure
Your “real inseam” -- or inside leg length -- is the distance between your body where it sits on your bike saddle and the ground.
This will typically be an inch or two longer than the length of your trousers, but you’ll want to measure to be sure.
You’ll use this number on the chart to get a feel for how the different models will fit you.
How to Measure
Gather the tools needed:
- Medium-width hardcover book
- Tape measure
- A wall you can stand against
- A trusted friend or relative
Wearing your regular riding shoes and with your back to the wall, stand with your feet spread so there is about 7 inches between them - this is about the distance apart your feet would be when straddling a bike with your feet on the ground (standover height).
Place a hardcover book against the wall with the spine of the book facing upward. Slide the book upwards towards your groin until it is solidly against your body. This may be a bit awkward, but is way more comfortable -- and safer! -- than trying to ride a bike that is too big.
If you have a buddy helping you, get them to measure from the floor to the top of the book spine while you hold the book in place. If you’re going it alone, carefully hold the book in place and measure from the ground to the top of the book spine.
A fuel gauge for your electrons.
Pedal Assist Level
The higher the number, the more the motor will boost you when you pedal.
5V, 1 Amp port to charge your phone or portable electronics on the go.
Calculate how many miles you didn't drive this year and how much money you saved on gas.
Can be set to current speed, max speed, or average speed.
Shows how much power the motor is outputting at any given time.
The Rad Battery Pack
With over a decade of designing and building ebikes under our belts, we know that a high-capacity battery like this isn’t something you cheap out on. We designed and built our batteries using genuine Samsung 35E cells, which are some of the most energy-dense and reliable lithium-ion cells on the market today. These cells have allowed us to build an overall better battery, and at only 7.7 lb, it's one of the lightest and most energy-dense packs on any electric bike.

Compact, Discreet, Maintenance-Free Hub Motor
With 750W and 80 Nm of torque at your disposal, this Bafang geared hub motor is what is going to help power you up steep inclines and get you up to top speed quickly from a dead stop, all while remaining quiet and inconspicuous. These kinds of numbers aren't even found on some of the most expensive mid drive systems out there, so prepare to outperform and outclass everyone you see on the road.

"The words 'comfort' and 'fun' rarely go hand in hand, much like 'inexpensive' and 'quality'. The RadRover manages to check off all those boxes which is no small feat."
Looking for something more accessible?
The RadRover Step-Thru 1 is a great option if you want many of the same features as the RadRover but with a much lower stand over height.
I recieved my rad rover 5 the other day after a 2 month backorder.. there was a few things to put together handle bars front tire pedals. Not hard at all if you are mechanically inclined.. took the bike for a ride.. omg it was amazing. I had a hip replacement a year ago and this bike is so easy to pedal with the pedal assist.. we went 15 miles tonight and the battery only used one bar.. the bike is pricey but you get what you pay for.. just amazing..
it going to be a year with my rad rover and i really love it
this e bike help me go to my appointment in i save money calling taxi :) thank rad !!!!
It’s been awesome so far!
Just way too much fun. Coming up on 2 months of ownership and other than 1 flat (which I fixed myself) and 1 connection that came loose, I've had no issues at all. Just miles and miles of good times. Thank you!
I purchased my RadRover 5 in June 2020 and I have not driven my car to work since. My 12 round trip commute is now a breeze on the RadRover and takes less time than driving. The RadRover 5 is the SUV of Ebikes. Simply put, it does everything and does it with a powerful presence. My RadRover 5 was the perfect choice to handle the transitions from rough roads and rail crossings in the industrial area where I work. Even with the Rad Power Rack loaded with two heavy panniers, the RadRover 5 handles like a dream. My RadRover has completely changed my perspective and my impact to my community. One less car sitting in traffic. Bottom line... get one and don't look back!
These bike are a great value!
My wife and I love our new bikes, we are riding all the time now. The bike is really heavy duty and well-built, and we love the peddle assist.
We love our outdoor weekend adventures now.
We would like a larger basket to take our small dog with us (most of the accessories are sold out)
I would really like to see you offer knobby/extremely aggressive tires for off-road use, and offer a much bigger battery for longer trips - this would really help with our hilly terrain where we use a lot of battery up quickly.
Overall, we love the bikes !
Spike is got me out and moving with no fear of hills. I do about 8 miles a day and I love every second of it.
Imagine a machine that can zip through city streets at more than 20 MPH, climb steep hills without breaking a sweat, and do it for a range of more than 40 miles... Now, add to it an insane ability to navigate off-road trails, sexy looks and a beefy stance that would make any rider proud... That pretty much sums up my thoughts on the RadRover! I'm a 56 year old man, hadn't been on a bike in 30 years and decided, to keep up with the kids in my hilly So Cal area I needed something a little extra under the hood (so to speak). Wow! Dully impressed with the Rad Power Bikes "Rad Rover". Easy assembly, not many parts, takes about 20 minutes for the lay person watching a video and following along. Once done, I jumped on and of course gave it all she had available and was instantly impressed by the responsiveness, power and handling. We are not all semi professional athletes, and in my case, I just wanted to keep up with a 7 year old, giving us something new to share together. Thanks Rad Power for an affordable and amazing e-bike! #GirlDad
Can’t say enough, exceeds my expectations really love it! For those of us advanced in years, this bike will rejuvenate your youth and allow you to go farther and faster! It is a joy not to have to worry about not being able to go where you want or being hesitant about being too tied. If you need help you got help, at the tip of your fingers!
