The Rad Battery Pack

With over a decade of designing and building ebikes under our belts, we know that a high-capacity battery like this isn’t something you cheap out on. We designed and built our batteries using genuine Samsung 35E cells, which are some of the most energy-dense and reliable lithium-ion cells on the market today. These cells have allowed us to build an overall better battery, and at only 7.7 lbs, it's one of the lightest and most energy-dense packs on any electric bike.

Compact, Discreet, Maintenance-Free Hub Motor

With 750W and 80 Nm of torque at your disposal, this Bafang geared hub motor is what is going to help power you up steep inclines and get you up to top speed quickly from a dead stop, all while remaining quiet and inconspicuous. These kinds of numbers aren't even found on some of the most expensive mid drive systems out there, so prepare to outperform and outclass everyone you see on the road.

Love This bike

We love our bikes. I bought two bikes from your company. One for myself and a step through for my wife. We live in a hilly area and I have no problem with power. I did add a beach cruiser seat on my bike which made the ride more comfortable. The only thing I wish your company offered for the step through bike is a temporary bar that I could add to it during transport so I could carry on a bike rack. I purchased a rack to carry both bikes but only my regular rad mini fits has a bar for the rack hook to trap; the step through has nothing so I have to transport by folding. Other than this a great product.

Love, love, love

My husband and I just recently purchased two Mini Step Thrus. We are both 61 and my husband cannot drive cars anymore, so this is his mode of transportation when I’m at work. This bike is extremely well made and so much fun to ride! We just did a trip upstate New York and had both bike folded and loaded in the car! We took a car ride over to Canada and biked 42 miles between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake along their trails. All this on one charge!! I even had a wipe out while making a turn too fast with absolutely no damage to the bike and only bruises on me. Also, everyone we met just loved the look of them!! We can finally bike distances without fear of getting too tired. I also have to mention the excellent customer service and support RAD provides!! We are fans for life!!

Not bad

Anything over 20mph it feels like the motor is braking and slowing me down. I could be going down a very steep hill and it feels like I'm pulling a parachute behind me when I try to peddle against it. It's absolutely atrocious! Otherwise it is a great little bike and fun to ride. At nearly 70lbs it kills my back trying to fold and lift into the hatchback. It's nice that the option is there but I usually avoid it. Also what is up with the Ti-84 Calculator being used for the display? It looks like it cost 5 dollars at Radio Shack. It has enough power to tackle pretty epic hills and the gearing on the 2019 model is great though. Overall I am pretty happy with this ebike.

Rad Mini And Rad Powerbikes so far.

My wife and I purchased a Rad Mini a while back. Upon delivery the box looked rough but after getting it all set up everything was perfect. We contacted the company with questions and concerns and they went beyond the call of duty to say the least to make sure our questions were answered. We haven't put many miles on the bike yet but the few we have were done in much harsher conditions than the thing was meant to endure (desert night riding after cocktails on atv trails!) We also have a larger non folding fat e-bike from a different company where they mislead us in the purchase and the product isn't nearly as refined. We are much happier with what we have seen so far from Rad than the other bike. This company has really has a solid thing going and we feel like we should have great parts and tech support for the long haul. Still haven't ran out of batteries on a single ride. Thanks for the bike guys my wife loves it. Now she can tow our son on rides and doesn't kill herself peddling so anymore!

Amazing and great bike!

I really wish I could give 4.5 stars! Why not 5? only for the fact that I needed to do some work on the bike, minor work that I was comfortable doing but some nuts and screws were on the bike so tight, 1. I couldn't remove one and the other stripped. Luckily I could take it in to have to work on it but it meant I couldn't ride for a week or so. Lessoned learned but otherwise the bike is great! I love it! It handles all the conditions I've thrown at it and it's just a fun ride! The step-through also makes it easy for my commute (sometimes I'm in a suit!). If you haven't ridden it, you should!

To the Rad product development and design team I would like to say job well job well done on the Rad Mini 2019 ( the only Rad bike I currently have). Being 73 and with right wrist arthritis from years of pounding nails , I had all but given up riding a bike. Spent many days deciding which Rad model I would try . The mini step through won and I'm very happy with my purchase. I am back on the roads and trails again - paved and unpaved. The more I use it the more I appreciate the engineering, from the kickstand location to the under seat handle, and the step through feature, well, I consider it new technology, eliminating the need for the leg over maneuver. And the power is there when I need it. Thanks Rad Team.

Awesome

This was my husband idea, I was a little hesitant but wow what a ride. We got our bikes delivered April 24 2019 and we have close to 200 miles of biking. They are a little heavy but between the two of us we get them in and out of the car pretty easy. We get a lot of heads turning asking us questions. We are from Minnesota, I think we might be the first ones purchasing this type of bike in our zone. We having been enjoying every trip.

They only thing I can say negative about this bike is that the brakes are a little squeaky

Perfect for Town, Travel & Trail

We had been looking for a way to get my wife back on a bike. Her old road bike was uncomfortable, and never used. She's 5'2" and the RadMini Step-Thru fits her perfectly. Because it's electric, we can adjust the power assist levels on her RadMini Step-Thru and my RadMini so we're comfortable riding at the same pace. It's also nice that I can fit both of them folded in the back of our KIA Sorento SUV with the middle seats up. We've ridden them on street and dirt and really had a blast. Since buying them, we also rented some high-end mid-drive mountain bike while travelling internationally. I asked her if they felt twice as good since they're at least twice as expensive. The answer was a definite "no." She liked that they're a bit lighter, but not enough to pay the difference. Overall, we love our Rad Power E-Bikes and look forward to doing some cross-country drives & rides with them in the back of the car.
