The Rugged Space Saver
The new RadMini 4 now comes with our exclusive 20" x 3.3” Kenda K-Rad multi-terrain tires. With a higher load rating than a standard bike tire, as well new, narrower handlebars for an ergonomic grip, you’ll be more comfortable, for longer, on all your Rad rides.
Don't let the "mini" in its name fool you. Sure, the RadMini can quickly fold when you need some extra room, but this ebike packs quite a punch when you're ready for action and adventure. Power, convenience, and versatility make this rugged space-saver a truly unique addition to any arsenal.
Made from a layer of aramid and ceramic particles inside the tire under the tread, the Kenda K-Shield integrated tire liner is a line of defense designed to provide extra protection against punctures from thorns, glass, and other small materials.

What to Measure
Your “real inseam” -- or inside leg length -- is the distance between your body where it sits on your bike saddle and the ground.
This will typically be an inch or two longer than the length of your trousers, but you’ll want to measure to be sure.
You’ll use this number on the chart to get a feel for how the different models will fit you.
How to Measure
Gather the tools needed:
- Medium-width hardcover book
- Tape measure
- A wall you can stand against
- A trusted friend or relative
Wearing your regular riding shoes and with your back to the wall, stand with your feet spread so there is about 7 inches between them - this is about the distance apart your feet would be when straddling a bike with your feet on the ground (standover height).
Place a hardcover book against the wall with the spine of the book facing upward. Slide the book upwards towards your groin until it is solidly against your body. This may be a bit awkward, but is way more comfortable -- and safer! -- than trying to ride a bike that is too big.
If you have a buddy helping you, get them to measure from the floor to the top of the book spine while you hold the book in place. If you’re going it alone, carefully hold the book in place and measure from the ground to the top of the book spine.
A fuel gauge for your electrons.
Pedal Assist Level
The higher the number, the more the motor will boost you when you pedal.
5V, 1 Amp port to charge your phone or portable electronics on the go.
Calculate how many miles you didn't drive this year and how much money you saved on gas.
Can be set to current speed, max speed, or average speed.
Shows how much power the motor is outputting at any given time.
The Rad Battery Pack
With over a decade of designing and building ebikes under our belts, we know that a high-capacity battery like this isn’t something you cheap out on. We designed and built our batteries using genuine Samsung 35E cells, which are some of the most energy-dense and reliable lithium-ion cells on the market today. These cells have allowed us to build an overall better battery, and at only 7.7 lb, it's one of the lightest and most energy-dense packs on any electric bike.

Compact, Discreet, Maintenance-Free Hub Motor
With 750W and 80 Nm of torque at your disposal, this Bafang geared hub motor is what is going to help power you up steep inclines and get you up to top speed quickly from a dead stop, all while remaining quiet and inconspicuous. These kinds of numbers aren't even found on some of the most expensive mid drive systems out there, so prepare to outperform and outclass everyone you see on the road.

"You may assume the RadMini holds a niche spot in the ebike world; that of a folding electric bike that also has big fat off-road tires. However the RadMini is able to break out of this box and into mainstream appeal by proving itself so useful and safe."
Looking for something more accessible?
The RadMini Step-Thru 2 is a great option if you want many of the same features as the RadMini but with a much lower stand over height.
I was skeptical at first, because the last time I tried to get an electric bike, it backfired in my face spectacularly. I made my choice based off the reviews I had seen here and on another website and added to the fact that it was the only bike of the 3 I was looking at that was available in a week instead of waiting until half of summer was over.
Setup, somewhat annoying. I appreciated the tools they included but they weren't the best but got the job done. Youtube videos helped for putting it together and the ride was solid. Main complaint I have so far is just the seat being fairly uncomfortable but I will eventually swap that out with another.
Lately I've noticed some odd noises while riding but nothing that I am too worried about as of yet. Would update if any problems arise however.
WOW, Bike Ride is definitely FUN
Thank You All
This bike is great, I ride it around town, take it surfing and it is a lot of fun to just cruise on. There are a few drawbacks after riding it for 700 miles, the bike is not the easiest to work on (changing brakes and tires) and the components are ok. Sometimes when riding, the power cuts out and I have to reconnect all the wires and that usually fixes it, but very annoying mid ride. I rode mine in the rain once and it shorted out on me mid ride, but luckily it started working again when it dried out. I do live near the beach, but there is a fair amount of rust build up on the bike even though I wipe it down after every ride. Be sure to lube up the chain as my friend's chain rusted stiff after 200 miles.
After 700 miles these are the parts I have had to replace:
Rear Tire - Rode over something and severely punctured my tire
Rear Brakes- difficult to change
Absolutely love it.
Best toy I’ve bought in a long time. And it will save a ton of greenhouse gas emissions from polluting our air!
I've been having so much FUN on my RadMini4, that I totally forgot to write a review, LOL! Its been an amazing experience, my Rad Mini has shown me areas of my neighborhood that I would have never seen before by car. I purchased this bike to commute into the city...but now, its become a my discovery bike around my neighborhood! Great purchase, I love it, It's a head turner! Thank you Rad, for opening the road in my backyard!
My husband got one about a month before I did. I did not know how much it was going to be. We decided to order me the rad mini. The rad mini step through may have been better for me however I was not willing to wait till you got them back in stock. This bike has given me the freedom to keep up with my husband (I have Addison's disease). I feel so free when I ride this bike. Yesterday we rode our bikes to the gulf and went swimming. We had such a wonderful time. Best money I've ever spent.
If you ever have the opportunity to ride this bike before you purchase it, Don’t ride it because you will be spending $1600 the day after. This is the most durable and well designed folding electric bike on the market. Well worth the money all around great product. Very happy I purchased it. Also a really great company easy to contact and always trying to help you when you have a issue.
Great riding bike, loads of fun to ride, easy to assemble, and I highly recommend this bike to everyone.
As a 69 yr old, I gave up bike riding because I live in a hilly neighborhood and the uphill climbs were just too difficult. Now with my Rad Mini 4, life has changed and I am riding to places I never thought I could ever get to on a bike. I am loving riding on trails and local streets exploring my neighborhood and the San Diego area with new enthusiasm for bike riding. And during the pandemic, my Rad Mini was great therapy.
My Rad Mini has been easy to use with smooth gear shifting and the 5 power assist levels can get you up any hill with ease. The fat tires work great on trails where the throttle feature can be a big help on soft or rocky surfaces when you might get stuck. And having a bike that folds up makes it easy to transport in the back of my Subaru Outback so I'm ready to go exploring easily.
For the price, I think this is a great quality ebike with all the right features to make bike riding fun again.
