Want to Test Ride an Ebike? Here’s How.

If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of, it’s watching people try one of our electric bikes for the very first time.

Even if they were skeptical or had to be dragged to Rad Retail by a loved one, all doubt seems to melt away the moment they give it a try.

We’ve noticed that they can’t help but experience something we call the RadGrin. It’s that special smile that comes when they discover that, yes, ebikes really are as fun as everyone says.

If you’re ready to experience that for yourself, here are a few ways to arrange your very first ebike ride.

Take a free test ride.

“Great store with friendly and helpful staff. I'm also giving the bikes 5 stars. Go test ride one... It will change you forever!” - Jason W., verified rider.

We have Rad Retail stores across the U.S. — with more coming all the time.

When you visit, you can get to know our award-winning lineup of electric bikes with a free, hands-on test ride.

There’s no need for an appointment. Just stop by a Rad Retail or pop-up location, show an ID that shows you're over 16, and our team can help you get started.

They’ll walk you through the ins-and-outs of each model, show you how to safely operate the ebike, and then give you some one-on-one time with your potential new ride.

Take it for a 15 minute spin in the neighborhood around our store. You’ll get a chance to experience your model in the real-world, just like it was your own.

If you’d like to try a different model, no sweat. You can test ride as many as you’d like.

Please note, helmets are required. We have some on-site, but feel free to bring your own.

Explore with a rental bike.

3 friends ride electric bikes down a sunny California boardwalks while laughing.

“During our winter vacation to the Gulf Coast, we rented a couple of Rad ebikes for a few days to see why they were becoming so popular. As the owner of the place we rented from said ‘they make bike riding fun again.’ We agreed and bought our two Rad bikes as soon as we returned home to Iowa.” - Ronald F., verified rider.

If you’re not near one of our official locations, you can still enjoy some time in the saddle by visiting one of the hundreds of rental companies that carry Rad Power Bikes.

You can find these spots around some of the country’s best travel destinations, making it a great addition to any vacation or staycation.

Rental fees and model availability vary by location, so check your providers' website or give them a call if you’d like additional information.
